From a single flatbed to a complex multi-axle stretch move, E.J. Davies Inc. has the equipment and expertise to execute any heavy transport job safely and on time. We operate throughout New York and the greater Northeast, with 24/7 availability and Union Local 282 certified drivers on every job.
Flatbed Transport
Our standard flatbed service is the workhorse of heavy freight. With multiple deck lengths available, we transport structural steel, precast concrete panels, lumber, pipes, and all manner of general freight. Loads are secured by our experienced rigging team to DOT standards.
Double Drop Deck
The double drop — also called a lowboy — has a dropped well between the kingpin and rear axles, giving you extra vertical clearance. Ideal for tall machinery, transformers, industrial equipment, and anything exceeding standard height limits.
Single Drop Deck
Step decks offer a lower rear deck height compared to standard flatbeds, making them perfect for freight that is too tall for flat but doesn't require the depth of a lowboy. Wide versatility for a range of industrial and construction cargo.
Stretch Trailers
Our extendable flatbed and stretch trailers handle the longest, most complex loads. From wind energy components and bridge beams to industrial process equipment — if it's long, we can move it. We manage all routing, permitting, and escort coordination.
Oversize / Overweight Permits & Routing
Navigating the permit landscape in New York — and across state lines — requires experience and relationships. We handle all NY State and municipal oversize/overweight permits, route surveys, and coordinate police escorts and pilot vehicles where required.
